21歲的忽那汐里，8年前報名參加「第11屆全日本國民美少女」選拔，專程從雪梨回日本參賽，獲得評審特別獎，自此踏入演藝圈發展。她説得流利的英、日語，說：「雖然可以用日語表達一切，但還是被糾正過發音有點奇怪，我因此特別下功夫苦練。」
 
她從小就不喜歡可愛的娃娃或玩偶，從學生時代開始迷上攝影，現在已有數位傻瓜、單眼等10台相機，和男星染谷將太還因為攝影結為好友，她表示：「透過鏡頭可以看到不同的世界，很令人著迷。」（蘇威全／綜合報導）
