走私猖獗無法掌握　動保團體要求政府補破網

【戴安瑋／台北報導】台灣動物社會研究會、台大獸醫專業學院教授葉力森等學者專家今天上午召開記者會，批評農委會狂犬病防疫有4大漏洞，包括寵物管理只管犬不管其他野生動物，走私動物猖獗等，要求農委會速補破網，讓狂犬病疫情危機變轉機。
 
研究會說，《動保法》立法10年，農委會唯一指定公告必須登記的寵物只有犬，登記率僅3成。其餘物種如兔子、麝香豬、熊狸等物市場曾走私進口的動物，農委會和地方動保單位無法掌握動物飼養、繁殖和買賣交易現況，目前狂犬病散播途徑不明，政府不能輕忽此一漏洞，一旦這些動物遭棄養溢出野外，加上全國專業收容空間有限，對防疫工作是雪上加霜。
