Japan-based makers are continuing to develop an assortment of robots including wearable units and health-related devices, with ActiveLink and Innophys at the forefront.
Wearable robots that assist in performing functions for impaired muscle and body parts are a main focus for vendors in addition to units that can either help or replace humans to perform various tasks.
Makers in Japan believe the market is worth millions and will further lead to innovations related to automation and robot functionality in other segments.
In addition to medical functions, Activelink is looking to the agricultural industry to promote its products, and other vendors are expecting demand from the Japan government for robots used in accordance with the 2020 Olympics in Japan.
