總統夫人周美青今天上午一身輕便服裝，到嘉義縣安東國小為小朋友說故事。記者卜敏正／攝影

總統夫人周美青今天上午一身輕便服裝，來到嘉義縣安東國小為小朋友說故事，並透過問答互動，以及結束前的有獎徵答，鼓勵小朋友舉手表達想法，贈送故事書。她勉勵小朋友將書籍當一輩子朋友，隨時從書本吸收新知，讓自己開眼界，提升競爭力。

安東國小校長賴英杰說，全校5、6年級共有79位學生來聽「美青阿姨」說故事，總統夫人能來讓全校師生都感動。他說「美青阿姨」說故事過程，還搭配投影片介紹前後赤壁賦，也引導小朋友認識歷史人物，讓小朋友不只聽故事，也認識中國文學及成語。
