法網／直落三取勝 蠻牛挺進32強

面對初生之犢不畏虎的奧地利新秀Dominic Thiem，「紅土之王」Rafael Nadal 仍技高一籌，以直落三之姿晉級三十二強。

Rafael Nadal今年賽季表現顯得稍有起伏，連帶讓賭盤對他信心下降，第二輪開盤沒有給出太高的出線機率。

不過Nadal生涯還沒輸給1990年以後出生的選手，如今這個紀錄持續延續，第二輪以6-2、6-2、6-3擊敗單手反拍出色的20歲小將 Thiem。

Nadal下一輪的對手將是來自阿根廷的Leonardo Mayer，世界排名65的 Mayer，以6-2、4-6、6-4、6-4擊敗俄羅斯的Teymuraz Gabashvili取得晉級。

Nadal與 Mayer生涯有過3次交手，Nadal贏了其中兩次，2013年印地安泉網賽，Mayer因為背傷退賽，第三度對決讓Nadal直接獲得晉級。

Nadal的西班牙同胞、名列大會第五種子的David Ferrer，也以6-2、6-3、6-2擊敗義大利選手Simone Bolelli前進三十二強。
