外交齟齬後 美駐印度大使辭職

美、印發生印度女外交官遭裸搜風波，導致雙方關係緊繃後，美國駐印度大使南西‧鮑爾卅一日發表聲明宣布辭職。聲明未說明辭職原因，僅表示她已從事外交服務卅七年，即將退休。

鮑爾2012年才出任印度大使。去年十二月，印度駐紐約總領館的女副總領事柯布拉加德因「簽證申請謊報」、家中保母是「非法低薪勞工」於紐約被捕，並遭到裸體搜身。印度稱此事件是「國恥」，要求美國道歉，其後還對美實施包括旅行在內的外交報復措施。
