中央銀行9日標售2年期定期存單(NCD)100億元，這也是央行睽違10年後再次發行2年期定存單，根據央行公布的得標結果，加權平均得標利率0.78%，較上周標售的364天期存單0.63%高出0.15個百分點，此利率也高於市場預期的0.7%至0.75%左右。

央行表示，這次2年期存單投標總金額為587億元，投標倍數為5.87倍，加權平均得標利率為0.78%，得標比率17.04%。央行上次標售2年期存單是在2003年7月15日，當時得標利率1.261%，央行重貼現率在1.375%。

由於這次是央行睽違10年後，再次發行2年期定存單，而且當時發行後，央行從2004年10月1日開始啟動長達4年的升息，重貼現率從2003年6月27日的低點1.375%一路上揚至2008年6月27日的3.625%高點，因此，市場猜測，這次央行再發2年期定存單，可能是在為升息暖身。

不過，央行總裁彭淮南表示，只是試一試市場水溫，與升息無關，而在6月央行理監事會議上，彭淮南也重申，目前仍將維持「適度寬鬆」。
