東勢警分局為表揚103年度績優、資深義警人員暨舉辦警勤工作訓練，在新社區新社高中禮堂舉辦聯誼餐會，地方各界200多人參加，場面溫馨熱絡。

會中，計有立委江啟臣、市議員蔡成圭、市議員蘇慶雲、臺中市政府警察局副局長陳長勝、石岡區農會總幹事張東海、新社高中副校長怡華等貴賓、長官及義警人員與會，期望藉由聯誼及表揚活動，增進警民溝通與互動。

參加人數包含民防人員189人，另受邀長官、貴賓、地方仕伸、民代等41人，合計230人與會，活動中表揚績優及資深義警人員。東勢警分局長蔡榮林指出，東勢義警中隊人員平時無論是執行校園安全維護、重要路口交整、春安工作協勤或協助警方偵破刑案，都有傑出的表現。

東勢警分局並利用聯誼活動，向與會貴賓、民眾及協勤民力宣導「酒後不開車、開車不喝酒」及正確的預防犯罪(含防詐騙)觀念，讓大家更加了解相關預防犯罪的方法，有效提升預防犯罪宣導的實質效益。
