英新錢幣女王肖像 1甲子來第5度

英國皇家鑄幣廠今天公布最新錢幣設計，推出88歲伊麗莎白二世女王的最新肖像設計，即日起開始製作，預定今年稍後開始流通使用。

這是自1998年以來皇家鑄幣廠首次更新錢幣上的女王肖像，也是伊麗莎白二世女王擔任君主63年來的第5個錢幣肖像設計。

最新肖像是33歲的皇家鑄幣廠肖像雕刻師克拉克（Jody Clark）的作品，他從眾多競爭者中脫穎而出，肖像設計並獲得女王本人同意。

新的錢幣肖像是皇家鑄幣廠首次使用數位化技術製作，取代過去傳統的粘土方式，也是100多年來皇家鑄幣廠的雕刻師的設計，獲選為流通錢幣，克拉克本人十分高興，並希望作品已忠實呈現女王的神韻。

新的錢幣肖像設計今天在國家肖像藝廊（TheNational Portrait Gallery）公布，並陳列過去使用的4種舊肖像設計。

伊麗莎白二世女王今年9月將慶祝89歲生日，是僅次於維多利亞女王，英國史上在位時間排名第2長的君主。
