德甲狼堡隊整隊價值2億多歐元的球員們全坐在車廂走道上，因為他們買了坐票的858車廂並沒有隨著該班火車出現，堪稱人在囧途的狼堡版本。

而這個離譜事件並不是狼堡此次客場之旅所遭受到的唯一苦難，他們原本買到與勒沃庫森主場相鄰的大城市科隆（Köln），結果火車在哈姆（Hamm）就停下，全隊緊急改乘大巴終於順利到達科隆的旅館。

或許不順的搭車經歷讓全體隊員都有些精疲力竭，才會在下半場遭到勒沃庫森絕地大反攻追到4：4平手，所幸第90分鐘前鋒Bas Dost踢進絕殺球幫助狼堡5：4帶走勝利。
