日本職棒火腿隊大谷翔平5日加薪7000萬日圓，明年年薪1億日圓；高中畢業球員第3年即達1億日圓的年薪，是松坂大輔以來史上第2人。

大谷翔平本季第2年「二刀流」，投球戰績11勝4敗、防禦率2.61，打擊成績是打擊率2成74、全壘打10支、打點31分，是日本職棒首位達成「10勝、10轟」紀錄的球員。同時，也投出日職最快球速162公里。

松坂大輔1999年進入西武隊，年薪1300萬日圓，2000年加薪到7000萬日圓，2001年達到1億日圓；目前在美國大聯盟的達比修有，2007年第3年效力火腿隊，年薪是7200萬日圓，田中將大2009年效力樂天隊第3年，年薪是7500萬日圓。
