隱形斗篷成真 物體憑空消失

（路透紐約州羅徹斯特26日電）科學家發現讓大型物體憑空消失的方式，而且只須利用價格低廉和容易取得的鏡片，物體就能像披上哈利波特（HarryPotter）隱形斗篷般，一秒消失無蹤。

路透社報導，紐約州羅徹斯特大學（Universityof Rochester）網站照片顯示，鏡片後方的物體消失無蹤，但物體的其他部分和其後方背景毫無異狀。因此俯身的男子少了一只眼睛，或是手指少了中間的指節，但後方的格狀尺規完整無缺。

物體學教授郝爾（John Howell）今天表示：「多年來，很多人都嘗試不同的方式，希望利用光學達到隱身術。」

名為「羅徹斯特斗篷」（Rochester Cloak）的技術並非真的是實體斗篷，反而比較像是驗光師所使用的儀器。只要把物品放到這個多層鏡片的後方，物品就會消失無蹤。

科學家說，先前的隱形技術複雜、成本高，也無法達成從不同視角觀看都消失無形的3D隱形術。

羅徹斯特大學研究生約瑟夫．崔（Joseph Choi）說：「這是我們所知的第一個3D隱身裝置，可以持續多方向隱形。」

郝爾說，羅徹斯特斗篷就像「哈利波特」小說的隱形斗篷，不會造成背景扭曲。

因此約瑟夫．崔說：「我想這也許可用來隱形卡車後方的拖車，讓司機直接看穿後方（車況）。或許也可應用在手術、軍事和裝潢設計和藝術等方面。」

儘管這項技術正申請專利，但科學家大方公開如何在家中以不到新台幣3000元價格，讓隱形美夢成真。中央社（翻譯）
