行政院長江宜樺今（16）日赴桃園聽取「桃園航空城」相關簡報，桃園縣長吳志揚致詞時，回應外界「空城」的批評，他認為這是不負責任的說法，「因為不是今天講，明天就能生出來」。吳志揚也提到，辦理說明會的過程中，還遇到「大尾鱸鰻」來「冰的」（翻桌），但縣府會持續以耐心、細心和貼心來解決民眾權益的問題。

吳志揚指出，桃園航空城是十大建設以後最重要的經濟建設計畫，也是台灣有史以來單一都市計劃面積最大的，一定要成功，台灣才有機會突破悶經濟。

他回應外界的批評說，很多人覺得現在沒有看到什麼東西，但航空城不是今天講，明天就能生出來，「喊說是空城，是不負責任的」。

吳志揚表示，去年9月18日，前行政院長陳冲拍板，正式宣布航空成計畫啓動及大致範圍，到現在也不過一年的時間，已通過很多程序；包括行政院重大建設計畫認定、環保署政策環評、經濟部用水計劃、內政部公益性及必要性報告，農委會變更農地使用計畫等。

吳志揚說，接下來還將繼續一百場小型說明會，希望12月前完成都市計畫，明年啓動區段徵收。
