全球首例義青年鈦骨盆手術成功

法新社25日報導，義大利杜林大學醫學中心25日成功替一名18歲的青年置換半個鈦骨盆，成為全球首例置換鈦骨盆成功的案例。

這名青年被診斷出罹患骨盆腫瘤，去年接受化療，但他的主治醫生決定採取根本治療，確保青年康復。醫療團隊24日歷經11.5小時的手術，移除病患半個骨盆和部分遭癌細胞影響的臀部組織，並置換在美國以鍍鉭的鈦金屬打造的人工骨盆。這些金屬主要用作電子產品的材料。院方發表聲明表示，手術結果相當好，病患目前正在適應新骨盆。
