苗栗警方今天表示，2名男子盜砍苗栗市大坪頂廢棄營區內的龍柏樹，正要搬運上車時遭巡邏員警發現盤查，人贓俱獲。

警方指出，48歲陳姓男子(新北市人)昨天晚間潛入苗栗市大坪頂西側營區內盜鋸龍柏樹，因無法獨自搬運，找來55歲劉姓友人(苗栗市人)駕駛小貨車前往協助，兩人今天凌晨在營區前才剛把3棵龍柏搬上車，就遇到巡邏員警。

警方表示，苗栗市大坪頂廢棄營區多年前移撥給苗栗縣政府，縣府已對外標售；由於內部有多棵樹齡約60年的龍柏等珍貴老樹，引起宵小覬覦，巡邏員警今天凌晨5時30分許巡經該處，發現2男形跡可疑，上前盤查，當場逮獲偷樹賊。

陳姓男子向警方坦承因缺錢花用，昨天晚間8時許獨自潛入營區內盜鋸3根龍柏木，準備變賣換取現金，但因重量太重無法一人搬運，只好聯絡劉姓友人駕駛貨車前來協助搬運。

2人對於犯案過程坦承不諱，警方訊後依竊盜罪嫌移送苗栗地檢署偵辦。(中央社)
