小米手機 2S 在中國發生自燃事件，但慶幸的是沒有造成太大的損失。

根據微博用戶指出，這款採用 Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 處理器的小米手機 2S 是同事於 6 月份在小米官網所購買，自燃原因目前還不清楚，但相信跟電池有關聯。

除了手機自燃外，同時也讓使用者的包包損壞和手被「熱情」的小米手機 2S 灼傷。

目前小米官方的售後部門已經開始介入調查這起自燃事件。

過去包含了 Samsung GALAXY S4、GALAXY S3、HTC One，甚至是 iPhone 5 在內，全球各個角落都陸續有自燃的新聞傳出，使用者在使用時，千萬得注意電池是否出現膨脹，或避免與水太接近而造成不必要的麻煩產生。

在這起自燃事件前，採用 NVIDIA Tegra 4 處理器的 100,000 台小米手機 Mi3 在 90 秒內被搶購一空，打破了該公司過去的銷售紀錄。
