法狂犬病專家：狂犬病在台已不只1年

【綜合報導】中央社報導，法國巴斯德研究所狂犬病研究負責人布赫育昨稱，台灣去年5月發現的案例應不是首例，而且合理懷疑狂犬病存在於台灣應不只1年。

布赫育以歐美狂犬病傳染速度每年50公里為例，認為從去年5月23日在南投發現的鼬獾死亡首例，到今年6月24日台大實驗室通知官方，這1年多的空窗期因為沒有監測，狂犬病的範圍恐擴大。

布赫育舉希臘為例，希臘北部與馬其頓邊界並未進行狂犬病監測，因此源自馬其頓的狂犬病很快就在希臘北部傳開。他認為台灣淪陷狂犬病疫區，可能是監測鬆懈所致，也可能是進口鼬獾引入。
