《蘋果》今訪問到「洋腸事變」中的外籍把妹男David，並透過臉書秀引起港民公憤的「蘭桂坊獵女短片」給David看，他原本僅說「有趣」(funny video)，未多作回應，但事後又澄清把妹沒有犯法，民眾抓狂全是因為「忌妒」，這些人想跟女生講話卻辦不到，只能回家看A片或傳臉書私訊恐嚇他。

David與金髮同伴Alex在港引起公憤，來台又被瞪，讓他覺得無奈，特別澄清說「我們沒做壞事，跟女生講話沒犯罪，逗女生笑也沒觸法。這些人唯一一個抓狂的理由就是『他們忌妒』。他們忌妒，他們害羞，他們內心感到難過，他們希望能跟女生聊天，但做不到，只能回家看A片，跟傳臉書私訊揚言要殺我。」David感嘆的說「我們只是來旅行的普通人而已呀！」

David並說聽到很多關於自己不好的傳聞，甚至罵他是「有錢的種族歧視男，到處傳播愛滋給女人」，他特地透過《蘋果》提出3點聲明，強調自己不有錢，旅行花費都是以前工作存來的、沒有種族歧視，他在美國的親密朋友大部分都是亞洲人、還有自己並沒有愛滋病。（饒偉生、施旖婕／台北報導）

Alex and me, we do nothing bad. Talking to girls is not a crime. Making girls laugh is not a crime.
The only reason people get mad is - they're jealous.
they're jealous, they're shy, they're sad inside. They wish they can talk to a girl...but they do not, and instead watch porn on the computer and send ME facebook messages that i'm going to get killed
