歐巴馬責埃鎮壓示威 取消軍演

美國總統歐巴馬今天針對埃及當局鐵手鎮壓挺罷黜總統穆希群眾示威活動一事發表聲明，他說美國決定取消與埃及的聯合軍事演習，以抗議數百名埃及示威群眾遭殺害。

歐巴馬也警告，埃及已走上「更為危險的道路」；儘管如此，歐巴馬並未宣布中止對埃及的13億美元年度軍援。

聲明中，歐巴馬強烈譴責埃及政府為驅散挺穆希群眾示威所採行的步驟，表示美國對埃及最近發生的事件深為關切，並說美國不認為武力是解決埃及政治歧異的辦法。

歐巴馬還重申，美國會信守對埃及及其人民的承諾，將研究進一步與埃及維繫關係的必要舉措，同時疾呼埃及當局容許民眾有和平抗議的權利。
