西夏陵景區的雙陵(一、二號陵)，8月6日正式對遊客進行開放。

根據銀川晚報報導，景區相關負責人介紹，一、二號陵是位於西夏陵區最南端的兩座帝陵，占地約16萬平方公尺，它們南北緊鄰，規模、布局、建築形制相同，故簡稱雙陵，其獨特形制和完整遺跡具有極高的文物價值和觀賞遊覽價值。據考古學家推測，此二陵可能為西夏建國者李元昊為其祖父李繼遷、父親李德明修建的嘉陵和裕陵。一、二號陵園周邊環境與三號陵完全迥異，沒有一絲人為的現代氣息，盡顯北國風光的粗獷與豪放，將陵園的殘垣斷壁襯托得更加淒美、悲壯。

之前西夏陵景區對外開放的僅是三號陵，現在雙陵的開放，將有效地分解景區的遊客接待壓力。
